Hi there, I'm Danielle Lum, and when people need effective solutions to frustrating problems, they turn to me. With more than 30 years of experience in branding, community relations, special events, employee relations, direct mail, fundraising, marketing, and more, I have the expertise needed to tackle any challenge that comes my way. As a Branding Specialist, creativity and strong relationships with top suppliers are the foundation of my expertise, and it helps me to develop programs, select products, and create innovative solutions that set my clients apart from the competition.
When I'm not working, you can usually find me spending quality time with my furry family members - all of my children have four feet and furry tails!
I also love traveling to beautiful locations around the world, learning about other cultures, and capturing stunning landscapes through the camera lens.
Outside of this, I am also an enthusiastic supporter of the University of Hawaii Rainbow Wahine basketball team. I'm honored to have been elected as the Secretary of the Booster Club and enjoy contributing to the team's success however possible.
Being a proud Rotarian is a significant part of my life where I've had the opportunity to enact change in my community and in the world. My involvement has allowed me to travel to destinations like Myanmar and Taiwan, working on projects that include building bathrooms, libraries, and teaching English to locals. Likewise, I've spearheaded local initiatives like providing backpacks and school supplies to students, conducting clothing drives, organizing food distributions, school beautifications, and environmental clean-up events.
In addition to my professional accomplishments, I'm also an avid fiction writer with a passion for storytelling. Over the past 10 years, I've participated in NaNoWriMo which resulted in completing 10 novels. This has allowed me to flex my creative muscles and approach branding and marketing challenges with a fresh perspective.
I am a graduate of The Kamehameha Schools, Drake University (BA), and the University of Hawaii at Manoa (MPA) and have been recognized with various commendations and local and national awards for my professional and community work. All that is great, however, my proudest accomplishment is having a story I wrote about my Mom included in a Chicken Soup for the Soul book.
